Accommodation

The Aeolian Village has Hillside and Village rooms with family accommodation available in both.

The village family rooms consist of a twin and double room with interconnecting door, situated on the ground and first floor, they are near to the beach and pool.

Hillside rooms are built on a sloope and split level suites, junior suites and family rooms all of which make great family accommodation.

The Split level suites provide spacious accommodation over two floors, with a double bedroom on the 1st floor and sofa beds on the ground floor.

Junior Suites have a bedroom with twin or double beds and a lounge area with sofa beds. The family rooms have a single access door leading to a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with a shared bathroom. Some can connect to a further room, creating an interconnecting room suitable for up to 7 people.

Due to the nature of the Hillside rooms and steps throughout the area we would not recommend these rooms to families with young children.

Just returned from 2 weeks in Lesvos (August '10), our second Neilson beach holiday. Started badly - the check-in at Manchester Airport was dreadful and we had to queue for 90 minutes! The hotel is good (see other comments) but what really makes the holiday is the attitude and enthusiasm of the staff. The Sharkster nannies (Jess, Liam, Hannah C, Steph, Natalie) were great with the kids. JD and the ski team managed to get my son and I waterskiing on the rope on our first outing. I was windsurfing with a harness for the first time thanks to Pete and Emily. Best of all were Amy and Simon, the bike team, particularly Amy (because Simon was ill in the first week). She was great with my son, encouraging him and even feeding him Haribos when he was flagging!! Thanks for a great holiday everyone!

This was our second holiday with Neilson, and we have travelled with Sunsail and Mark Warner before. But overall this was far and away the best holiday we've had. Lots of good things about the hotel - nice beach, nice pool with plenty of sunbeds, nice layout with a very 'open' feel. But the best thing was the enthusiasm of all the staff and the great atmosphere of the place. Especially the Surf Squad Team and the Beachies. Special mention to the chef George who puts on a display every week showing how he prepares some of the meals. Minor whinges were that the pillows in the bedroom were uncomfortable, and the internet connection is a bit flaky. Overall we had a fantastic time and the two weeks just zipped by. Thanks to everyone there.

Just back from our 3rd Neilson beachplus holiday this time from Lesvos having been to Halkidiki the previous 2 years and we have to say we were all very very impressed! Felix was in charge of our coach transfer from the airport to the resort and he did a fantastic job, he was very knowledgeable and great fun and the 2 hour coach journey passed in a flash. Carolyn from the restaurant was excellent again (we had met her in Halkidiki the previous year)always smiling and she always had time to stop for a chat. George the chef is a legend but I think the variety and the layout of the restaurant (ie indoor and outdoor eating areas) is slightly better in Halkidiki. Kids clubs were great both my Seaurchin and Surfbuster had a fantastic time and chose eating with their club rather than eating with us every time! The beach is gorgeous and the range of activities is fab - I tried windsurfing, waterskiing and went out with one of the beachies with my son on a 10 minute catamaran joy ride which left us both screetching like girls! Lauren the fitness instructor introduced me to Yogalates which is great fun and the Friday morning walk up the chapel is definitely worth the effort for the fantastic views
!I must also mention Chris the tennis coach who was a very patient and enthusistic coach (have I got the worse serve ever??) I certainly enjoyed my week in the improvers group. Finally the walk into town is pleasant and their are plenty of good restaurants including Aubergine, Agua, and Samardis(or something similiar), also Parasol is the place to go to watch the sun going down whilst enjoying a cocktail or two!
The only downside to the whole holiday was the coach transfer back to the airport - several people were travel sick including my son and I did hear rumblings at the airport that the coaches had taken a more windy route on the retun leg. Sickness aside, we will be returning next year, infact just waiting for Neilson to give us a call as we completed the questionnaire stating we would be booking again.....come on Neilson!!
