Kite surfing is one of the fastest growing watersports in the world, influenced by a range of sports including
windsurfing which is included at our centre in
Dahab and
Lemnos and
wakeboarding which is available with a local operator in
Dahab and included in
Lemnos.
Tuition
You will receive instruction from British Kite Surfing Association (BKSA) or International Kiteboarding Organisation (IKO) instructors. From basic kite control on the beach to assistance with waterbourne and airbourne manoeuvres, our instructors are there to help you develop and get the most from your kite and board.
Kitesurfing in Dahab - Beginner Course
• The course cobers many aspects of kitesurfing including safety and control of the kite on land and on water, launching and landing the kite, body dragging, re-launching the kite and self rescue.
• Once on the water the shallow and spacious bay we use means you will never feel out of your depth and your confidence will build quickly.
• The cost is £180 per person and includes ten hours’ tuition and hire of all equipment including board and kite, buoyancy aids, harnesses and helmets.
• Minimum age is 13 years.
• Due to the tidal nature of the kite surfing lagoon in Dahab kite surfing is not possible at certain times of the day. The course will be structured around these times; sessions may take place early in the morning or later in the evening and will be allocated once in resort.
• Dahab is best suited to newcomers to kite surfing, however more experienced kite surfers and those bringing their own equipment are able to use Dahab’s kite surf lagoon, though local limitations apply to other areas of the bay, where safety cover is provided for sailors and windsurfers only.
• We recommend reserving your kite surfing package at the time of booking
your holiday, as places are limited and availability cannot be
guaranteed in resort, so

Kitesurfing in Lemnos - IKO Level 1 & 2
In Lemnos we us the services of a local kitesurfing school, Surf Club Keros (www.surfclubkeros.gr)
Discover Kitesurfing IKO Level 1
• This six hour course is divided into two parts. Part 1 takes place at the Portomyrina Palace and covers the basics of kite-flying, control, safety, wind awareness, setting up and self rescue.
• Part 2 covers kite flying in moe detail and body dragging and takes place at the kite surf school approx. 25 minutes drive away.
• Both parts of the course are available to book locally, subject to availability. Part 1 is €80 per person and part 2 is €70 per person. Upon successful completion you will receive your Level 1 certificate and IKO card.
Intermediate Kitesurfing IKO level 2
• Level 2 is a 6 hour course and takes place at the kitesurfing school. You will cover use of the board, water starting and self launching. Upon successful completion of this course you are able to rent equipment at any IKO centre worldwide. The course is €160 per person, bookable locally, subject to availability.
• If you are already an experienced kitesurfer you can bring your own equipment or rent and kitesurf from Keros beach.
• Minimum age is 13 years.
