Other Accommodation
In addition to hotels, chalets and lodges, we offer a range of alternative accommodation to suit the requirements of couples, families or groups.
The following summarises the features of each type of accommodation and its suitability, but you should refer to useful information or the individual descriptions for more details.
Apartments in Europe, or condominiums in the USA and Canada are usually self-contained flats with one or more bedrooms with twin/double beds, a separate living area sometimes with pull out sofa/divan bed(s) or bunks, kitchen facilities (normally two cooking rings and a fridge), and wc, shower or bath.
Apartments generally tend to be well located and offer very reasonably priced accommodation when compared to hotels in the same resort. They are particularly suitable for groups or families on a budget who prefer to self cater, or those who want to experience the delicacies of local restaurants.

Cabins feature in Finland, Norway or Sweden and are often situated in quiet secluded areas, close to the slopes, so they’re particularly good for families and groups looking for a cosy, relaxed base.
They’re often attractive, comfortable and well equipped and tend to
offer good quality accommodation in a cosy wooden chalet-style.
Aparthotels are apartments or studios annexed to or affiliated to a hotel. There is usually an option to take meals in the hotel and use the hotel’s facilities.
Studios are one room, living-cum-sleeping accommodation, usually with divan/sofa beds, basic kitchen facilities (at least two cooking rings and a fridge), and wc, shower and bathroom. Studios, often found in France, are best suited to families or small groups on a budget.
Pensions are usually charming, family-run properties, which tend to feature in Austria. They offer bed and breakfast or half board accommodation, (occasionally evening meals are taken at a nearby hotel). There may be a small bar area and sometimes a sauna or steam room. Pensions are ideal for those who enjoy an intimate, friendly atmosphere and are looking for great value service and accommodation.
