One of our best chalets in one of our favourite resorts. We love the Chartreuse for its charm and added luxuries. It's everything you would imagine a mountain cabin to be; huge chunky beams, a roaring open fireplace, a sauna and hot tub, and dining with freshly prepared food and delicious wine.
When you walk into the open-plan lounge/diner from the large sun terrace with its indoor/outdoor hot tub, you get the sense this is a special chalet. The furnishings and style are high quality and you know you're in for a comfortable stay.
The bedrooms are beautiful. Oodles of solid wooden beams, many of which have been made a feature of. The ensuite rooms aren't enormous, but they're not cluttered either, just nicely furnished and finished with tasteful mountain décor.
The location is quiet being just off of the Place de Venosc but that doesn't mean you're miles from everything. The nearest lift is only a few minutes walk. There are bars and restaurants around the Place de Venosc but we recommend you head on a bit further for more variety.
You won't be disappointed with a stay here. Your Neilson hosts will make sure you want for nothing whilst filling you with superb food and drink while our Mountain Experts will look after you on the slopes. It really is an excellent choice for your ski break.

About the resort
A great example of an all-rounder. Long hours of sunshine (when it's not snowing) and snowsure slopes certainly help, but Les Deux Alpes is all about the variety of things to do, both on and off the mountain.
A superb resort for families, groups and all standards of skier or boarder. Beginner slopes near the resort and on the glacier make it a great place to learn whilst enjoying the glorious mountains rising up all around you. Intermediates have plenty of choice while experts should hire a guide and test their freeriding ability on the legendary off-piste runs of the ominously named La Grave.
The resort is large and well laid out with two main roads; one in, one out. Along each road, you'll come across an excellent range of sports shops, gift shops, restaurants and bars to suit all tastes and budgets. The après-ski is as lively as you want it to be with over 40 bars, restaurants and nightclubs on your doorstep.
