Levante Beach Club on the Greek island of Rhodes is modern and contemporary, with fantastic facilities for all activities. With an enviable location on a long stretch of sand and pebble beach, it enjoys a prime spot for all watersports, mainly sailing and windsurfing.
The Neilson team will be running the extensive watersports, cycling, tennis and fitness programme at Levante, and our excellent childcare team will be on hand to look after your children in our kids’ clubs. Our partners, Powered by Playitas, run the hotel and hospitality side. We share the club with like-minded guests from Sweden and Denmark and have half the rooms.
If fitness is your thing, you'll love the classes and training facilities at Levante with a large choice of daily classes, an air-conditioned gym with fixed and free weights, work out of the day, indoor studio classes, a large, shaded outdoor fitness platform and a 'cool pool' to start the recovery - so you're ready to go again the next day. The tennis facilities are also excellent with 6 courts, including a show court, 2 padel tennis courts and a bar for refreshments.
The real wow factor at Levante has to be the 6 swimming pools, including a huge free-form family pool, sports pool and adult-only pool. Whether you’re looking for a quiet spot to relax or space to put in some laps, it’s easy to find your place for a little ‘me’ time.
With so much going on, we understand why you may find it hard to leave the Beach Club, but if you want to explore, you should 100% sign up for a guided bike ride to discover the sights of the local area. Rhodes itself is steeped in history, and the whitewashed, car-free village of Lindos with an acropolis is close by.
After a day on the water, bikes or tennis courts, the beachfront bar is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the stunning sunsets before heading for dinner in our restaurant or a local taverna. And, at the end of a busy day, you'll enjoy returning to the modern, understated bedrooms with large private balconies or terraces. Why not make it extra special and book 1 of our premium suites, each with its private pool.

Beginners make the most of the light, morning winds and will follow the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Start Sailing programme.
The wind tends to pick up in the afternoons and for our intermediate and advanced dinghy sailors, we offer RYA Level 2 plus a range of clinics on Asymmetric’s, Lasers and Catamarans. Races and an end-of-week regatta are the perfect way to put your skills to the test.

Windsurfing
Levante Beach Club is an excellent destination for all windsurfers – whatever their ability. Mornings are perfect for our beginner tuition sessions, with light morning winds and a calm sea, all of which make for an excellent learning and teaching environment. Intermediate and advanced windsurfers will love the windy afternoons when we get some great conditions for blasting across the large bay.
All windsurfing tuition follows the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) teaching scheme, so you'll progress safely and with fun. If you're after a few pointers, just sign up for the group sessions with one of the team. They'll advise you of the right group for your level.
If your focus is windsurfing, you’re confident in foot straps and harness, and you fancy a new challenge, sign up for 1 of our wind foiling courses. Exclusive to Levante, you’ll be learning your foiling skills with a maximum of 4 other people. ‘First flights’ provides a basic introduction to foiling over 2 hours and can be pre-booked for £89 per person, once completed you can progress to 'Sustained Flights'. ‘Sustained Flights’ runs over 2 days for a total of 12 hours and can be pre-booked for £200 per person. Both can be booked together for £245pp.
Once the 'First flights' or 'Sustained flights' course has been completed to a satisfactory standard, you may continue to use the equipment free of charge for the week you have booked the course. Any subsequent weeks will be charged at a supplement of €100 per person (subject to availability, book and pay locally). When not being used for the courses, foiling equipment can be used by guests with previous experience on a first-come-first-served basis for a supplement (book and pay locally).
Equipment: You can expect to find a range of beginner, intermediate (160-130 litres), shortboard boards, XS3 rigs for children and start rigs for beginners.

If you’re going to be spending a lot of time behind the boat, why not pre-book the premium pack? Your daily session with our ski coaches will enable you to learn or progress your skills. The team will try to book your slots when the conditions are best so you can get the most out of every session. Organised padel sessions with 1 of our coaches are included in the cost of your holiday with a small supplement for free play. There is also a multi-sport court for basketball and 5-a-side football.

Cycling
The island of Rhodes is a paradise for cyclists with an excellent network of lovely cycling routes to suit all abilities. Road cyclists will love the smooth tarmac roads with long gentle climbs, equally long descents and plenty of steep climbs. Combined with very little traffic and inspiring views Rhodes is right up there with the best of our road cycling destinations.
The mountain biking is just as good with beautiful coastal routes, quiet rural roads, rocky paths and dry riverbeds, fruit orchards, olive groves, sleepy villages, craggy mountain ranges and swathes of cypress and pine trees.
There are several guided rides each day; intermediate and challenging rides tend to leave early to make the most of the cooler mornings before the sun reaches its highest. Easier rides tend to be shorter, along the flat ground where possible and leave late afternoon.
The bikes are also available to take free riding, just find a friend to accompany you and you are free to explore at your leisure.
Mountain bikes: Trek X-Caliber 9 MTB (2022) in a range of sizes (small, medium, large, x-large)

Local area
Levante Beach Beach Club is on the island of Rhodes, the largest island in the Dodecanese group of islands and is known as the ‘Island of the Sun God Helios’ being far enough south to enjoy long hours and days of sunshine. Rhodes is known for its crystal clear sea, endless sandy beaches, spectacular sunsets, archaeological sites and a UNESCO World Heritage Medieval City.
Our Beach Club is situated on Afandou Beach, the nearest small village of Kolymbia is about 1.5km away. The main street, lined with eucalyptus trees, has a selection of bars, restaurants and small shops. There’s a rocky headland which separates 2 beaches and a small, pretty harbour.
Slightly further afield is Afandou, located in a valley full of fruit and olive trees, it is 1 of Rhodes' oldest villages. The square in Afandou is buzzing with locals meeting for coffee and watching the world go by. At the square is also the church of Panagia Katholiki, the Catholic Virgin Mary, which is built on the ruins of an early Catholic basilica and is decorated with frescos dating from the 17th Century.
A few kilometres north of Afandou you will find Ladikos Bay with the 2 beautiful beaches Ladiko Bay and Anthony Quinn Bay, both of which are worth visiting for their cliffs and crystal clear waters.
Lindos
Lindos is known as 1 of Rhodes' most beautiful villages. The whitewashed small houses are located along narrow alleys that look up the slope where the famous acropolis is located. The stunning 10th Century acropolis was fortified through the ages by the Greeks, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Knights of St John and the Ottomans. Car-free, this unspoilt village is an enchanting warren of cobbled alleyways; with glimpses of history around each corner, don’t miss the ornate frescoes in the 14th Century Church of Panagia.
Rhodes Town
The island’s capital, Rhodes Town, is a must-see. Here you can get a real taste of the Middle Ages in the UNESCO-listed old town. Enclosed within honey-coloured walls, a warren of stone streets packs in galleries, museums and a 14th-century knights’ palace. The cobbled passageways are also home to tucked-away boutiques and cafés, where you can stop off for a coffee or meze. To get a real taste for the place you can soak up stunning views all around as you take a 4km walk around the city walls, built on top of the Byzantine fortifications between 1330 and 1522, bring your head for heights!
10 and 11-night holidays
10-night holidays arrive on a Tuesday and depart on a Saturday, 11-night holidays arrive on a Friday and depart on a Tuesday. There’s a welcome meeting on Wednesday morning for 10-night guests.
