Tennis is just one of the huge range of fun activities we offer for kids aged between 2 and 17 years old in our kids' clubs. Whether it’s the first time they’ve picked up a racket, or they’re set to be the next British winner of Wimbledon, we guarantee they’ll have a ball (sorry couldn’t resist)!
It’s never too early to start learning! We offer the chance to try some tennis activities for all tots aged 2 to 4. Our main aim is to make the sessions fun and engaging so that your toddler associates tennis with having a good time. Just getting on the court is a good start, so your toddler is familiar with the environment and the equipment.
Through games and ball play, we work to develop hand-eye coordination skills, making sure there are lots of laughs along the way. Our favourite game for under 5s is ‘Popcorn’; all the kids balance their ball on their racket, and when the coach shouts ‘Popcorn,’ they have to throw the ball as high as they can, then run to pick it back up. It helps kids track the ball's movement, a key skill in tennis.
With one club team member per 4 children, you can be sure your little ones are well looked after. Our kids' clubs are free of charge and available to all children aged 2 to 4.
Tennis at our Beach Clubs isn’t just for grown-ups, our youngest holidaymakers get to join the action too. With help from our expert tennis coaches and kids' club team, little ones discover just how fun the game can be, one giggle and racket swing at a time.
Every child in our kids’ clubs - Sea Turtles, Sea Urchins, Sea Badgers, Surfbusters, Sharksters, and Stingrays - will get a weekly court session. Whether they’re just starting school or heading into their final year of primary, they’ll learn the basics of hitting and returning through brilliant games designed to get them moving, thinking and having a blast.
A great game to practice receiving and returning skills is ‘Get Out of Jail’. The coach throws the ball over the net, and each child takes a turn to hit it back. If they're successful, they go to the back of the queue and take another turn. If they miss, they go to ‘Jail’. They don’t stay there for long; they can get out of jail by catching a ball hit by another child. It’s fun for adults, too!
For older kids and teens, tennis steps up a gear but it’s still all about having fun while picking up skills that stick.
Once they hit secondary school age, our coaching sessions focus on stroke development, especially those all-important groundstrokes. Stronger forehands, sharper backhands, and better court awareness, all delivered in upbeat, flexible sessions designed to keep everyone motivated. Our Surf Squad and Wave Riders clubs each have a weekly tennis session with expert coaches who know how to keep things fun and focused. No stuffy drills here, just great energy, solid coaching and plenty of high-fives.
Worried tennis might feel trickier than football or other team sports? That’s exactly why we keep sessions light, supportive and full of encouragement. If they walk off court with a smile and a new skill, we call that a win.
And don’t forget - our courts are free to book for ‘free play’ time outside of coaching. So grab the family, head to the court, and show off what you've learned (or challenge the parents to a friendly match).

The whole family can have fun during your Neilson tennis holiday! Kids as young as 2 will be introduced to tennis in their kids’ clubs, led by a qualified tennis coach. With plenty of engaging tennis games, the experience is sure to be filled with excitement.
For children aged 6-12, there are even more chances to ace their game. They can participate in up to 4 complimentary 1-hour weekly sessions, learning from our professionally trained coaches.
We also provide a fantastic selection of junior equipment, including Wilson Roger Federer rackets and Junior Blades. Your child will gain valuable tips and tricks from our expert coaches while enjoying time with new friends.
Additionally, if your young ones are in Wave Riders or TAG, they can participate in inclusive adult group coaching sessions. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy tennis together!
