Activities
Activities on the water
Take your pick from windsurfing, dinghy sailing, stand up paddle boarding and kayaking it's great for water sports here and they are all included. You can also enjoy a free try-dive.
The consistent offshore winds flatten the water in the bay and also provides enough power (typically force 3-5) for some seriously good windsurfing or sailing later in the day, with beginner and intermediate windsurfing tuition available.
If your focus is windsurfing, you’re confident in footstraps and harness and you fancy a new challenge, sign up for one of our wind foiling courses. Exclusive to Aeolian Village, you’ll be learning your foiling skills with a maximum of four other people. ‘First flights’ provides a basic introduction to foiling over two hours and can be pre-booked for £89 per person, once completed you can progress to 'Sustained Flights'. ‘Sustained Flights’ runs over two days for a total of 12 hours and can be pre-booked for £200 per person. Both can be booked together for £245pp.
Once the 'First flights' or 'Sustained flights' course has been completed to a satisfactory standard, you may continue to use the equipment free of charge for the week you have booked the course. Any subsequent weeks will be charged at a supplement of €100 per person (subject to availability, book and pay locally). When not being used for the courses, foiling equipment can be used by guests with previous experience on a first-come-first-served basis for a supplement (book and pay locally).
There's a water sport for everybody and you can take the pace down a notch or two and head out into the sparkling Aegean on a kayak or stand up paddle board. Explore the bay and be sure to check out the village of Skala Eressos, treat yourself to ice cream or a cooling drink from one of the quirky, bohemian cafés that rise from stilts on the beachfront.
We also include a free try-dive in the hotel pool and more diving can be booked with the Black Rock Dive Centre or speak to the dive team once in resort.

Local area
Rich in tradition, history and culture, Lesvos is the third largest of the Greek islands. The landscape is one of extremes, from areas of pine-covered hillside to swathes of volcanic stone. Testament to the island’s volcanic past are the large number of hot therapeutic springs and a petrified forest, with fossilised trees dating back some 15 million years.
With claims to their medicinal properties, the springs have been used for thousands of years to help cure aches and pains. Well worth a visit after a busy week of activities!
