Accommodation & facilities

What room types are available?

The rooms at our Beach Clubs are split into three main categories.

The majority are called "club" rooms. At most of our Beach Clubs we have some "premium" rooms too. Premium rooms may be bigger; be more convenient for some of the facilities or have a particularly special view.

At some of our beachclubs, there are a small number of "economy" rooms. These rooms may be smaller, less convenient or have a less attractive view - it varies room-by-room, beachclub-by-beachclub. These rooms are a great value way to enjoy a Neilson holiday; yes it's a cheaper room but you still get to enjoy all the great facilities and activities the beachclub has to offer.

In addition to these three types of room, many of our beachclubs also have a range of suites and inter-connecting rooms that are great for families.

Can I book interconnecting rooms on your beach club holidays?

Yes, most of our Beach Clubs have interconnecting rooms. Simply search for one room and any available options will be shown when selecting your room.

Is Wi-Fi available in the beach clubs?

There's free Wi-Fi in the public areas and in most of the rooms at all of our Beach Clubs.

What meals are included?

Most of our Beach Clubs include club board. This means that on each of the inclusive evenings, of which there are four, you can join us in the restaurant to enjoy a great choice of buffet dishes from around the Mediterranean and let our team of hosts recommend the perfect bottle of international or local wine to complement your meal.

Head to Cosmos Beach Club, and you'll be on a bed and breakfast board basis. Lunch and evening meals can be purchased at the beachclub.

More information on the food and drink offered in our Beach Clubs can be found here.

Are drinks included?

Club board, half board and full board include tea, coffee and water during meal times, with juices at breakfast. Any additional drinks can be ordered and charged to your room.

Are there tea and coffee-making facilities in my room?

Tea and coffee-making facilities for your room will be made available on request from the main reception desk free of charge (does not include Cosmos Beach Club in Vassiliki). Rooms at Buca also have a Nespresso-style coffee machine.

Do you provide beach towels?

Beach towels are provided in your room on arrival and will be changed mid-week at all Beach Clubs with the exception of Cosmos Beach Club and Xenia rooms in Vassiliki, where beach towels are not included. Please bring your own beach towels if travelling to Cosmos Beach Club or Xenia rooms.

Typical weather conditions in our Greek Beach clubs

Greece’s high summer is as hot as you’d expect a Mediterranean country to be, although summer can have some cloudy or rainy days, expect bright, bright sunlight to be the norm.

Temperatures are usually in the 30s, with the hottest days arriving in July and August. If the high summer temperatures aren’t for you, spring and autumn still see plenty of sunshine. The sea may feel a little fresh in spring, but it's still warm enough with a rash vest on.

Wind conditions

Buca and Messini Beach Clubs - The wind typically picks up around midday, blowing on-shore most days, with cross on-shore conditions on windier days. The typical wind force ranges from 3-4 with the most consistent conditions in June, July and August.

Cosmos Beach Club - A standard day in Vassiliki starts with a gentle onshore breeze (force 1-2), this coupled with a shallow sand bar off the beach creates perfect conditions for beginners and an ideal learning environment for developing skills. In the afternoon the thermal wind 'Eric' arrives producing a strong cross-shore breeze, the ideal flat-water playground for the advanced sailor. Due to the size of the bay and the cross-shore winds, there is a small amount of fetch, so conditions stay fairly flat, even in very high winds.

Typically, any forecast over 8 knots blowing in a westerly direction will give good planning conditions in the bay. The wind comes from the mountain on the right side of the bay, giving our location next to the mountain the best flat-water conditions with the wind coming through first and lasting the longest. Wind conditions are most consistent during the peak months of June through to early September. May and late September are more likely to see 50/50 for planing conditions in the afternoon.

Vounaki Beach Club - Gentle morning winds build throughout the day to give a nice breeze in the afternoon, it's the perfect place to learn to sail or for intermediate to progress their skills. Further out of the bay, winds can build to a steady force 3-4 in the afternoon.

Typical weather conditions in our Croatian Beach club

The coastline of Croatia has a lovely, sunny climate throughout the summer months. You should expect to see the sunshine for around 10-12 hours per day with temperatures in the mid to high 20s, reaching into the 30s in July and August. May and September bring more manageable temperatures - though the sea will be a little cooler.

Wind conditions

June, July and August tend to offer the most predictable conditions. The breeze at the Alana Beach Club typically picks up after lunch, when beginners and intermediate sailors can take advantage of the cross-on-shore winds (with a typical force of 3-4) most days.

Typical weather conditions in our Sardinian Beach club

Sardinia has warm Mediterranean days and long, hot summers. May and June herald the start of the summer with temperatures in the mid-20s. It's not super-hot yet, so great for shore-based activities, especially mountain biking and road cycling.

July and August temperatures usually top out in the low 30s but can be hotter, while September sees a return to the mid to high 20s. If you're looking for the most consistent wind conditions for sailing, windsurfing or kitesurfing, it's best to travel in June, July or August.

Wind conditions

At Baia dei Mori Beach Club, the wind typically picks up in the middle of the day between around 11 am and 3 pm. It blows cross to cross off-shore most days. The typical wind force ranges from 3-4 with the most consistent conditions in June, July and August.
