Matt Crowhurst has been one of the UK and Europe’s professional coaches for more than 25 years (since he was just 15 years old!). Matt is a former pro rider and a multiple National and European title holder. He has a passion and enthusiasm for being on the water and getting others out on the water too, having the time of their lives while pushing their water time in whatever direction they want to take it is what he lives for. Whether it’s boarding, tearing it up on a wake surfer or kicking out some big turns and spray on skis, beginner to pro, Matt is the guy that will ensure the smile stays stuck to your face however you’re taking to the water.
Matt is one of British Water Ski & Wakeboard’s most highly qualified coaches, having led the development of their coaching programme for all things wake-related for over 10 years.
He has also worked closely with Neilson over the past decade training our wake, surf & ski teams. We’re excited to team up with Matt once again for the coming summer so you can benefit from his coaching skills at our 2025 Neilson Wake/Surf/Ski Camps.
What Matt has always ensured in his 25 years and more of coaching - and what he has instilled in the Neilson team - is that putting together the baby steps and building blocks is the best way to ensure that any water time and progression is safe at every step and above all else, fun as can be.
Matt will be on hand all week to jump in and out of the Nautique ski boats for as many of you as he can - whether you’re boarding, surfing or waterskiing, no matter your level. You can book the premium packages to guarantee some time with him throughout the week or grab your included tow and he’ll hook up with you. This guidance will not only include being there for you on the water but also lots of dry land simulations and training, some dry land video analysis time with any footage you capture of each other on the water and guiding you through the awesome library of tutorial videos we put together with Matt a few years ago.

The price of a holiday at Alana Beach Club includes flights, transfers, accommodation, club board meals, kids' clubs for all ages and a huge range of activities.
