If you've never sailed before and you're on a stay and sail holiday, you'll need to join our beginners sailing courses. You'll find the beginners sailing course we call ‘introduction to yachting' super useful, and of course, pretty much essential!
The 'introduction to yachting' course is available from Vounaki Beachclub, in Greece. You'll be amazed at how quickly and easily you'll pick it up. Heaps of fun and packed full of information, the four-day course will teach you everything you need to know to get you safely from day one to day seven of your flotilla, taking to the helm as captain of your own ship.
The training is hands on, so you'll be out sailing everyday, and your instructor knows to make time for the odd picnic, refreshing sea swims and taverna lunches. By the end of the week you'll be checking out of your room and running down the jetty, eager to get your yacht out to sea and put into practice all that you have learnt!
Over the course of four days you’ll develop the skills you need to skipper your own yacht up, down and around the islands and coastline of the Ionian.
Our dedicated trainers will train you on a yacht with a maximum of four other guests. In reality you’ll be gaining some practical knowledge of sailing, essential mooring skills (that’s parking up to you and me), how to drop anchor, the all important safety skills and loads more top tips from our savvy trainers.
Upon successful completion of the course, you’ll come away with your Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Level 2 Basic Skills certificate.
Are you a family of keen sailors or a group of friends? Book our private course and you’ll all learn together, on the same yacht.
It’s still just a maximum of five per yacht and children can join in (our standard course is suitable for anyone aged 16 or over). We’ll go at a pace that means you can relax and learn, all at the same time.
