La Tovière is a wonderful example of craftsmanship and design, created with natural textures of aged wood and local stone. With a backdrop of snowy trees and towering rock faces, the hotel seamlessly complements its surroundings right opposite the slopes of La Daille. The funicular and La Daille gondola are just across the road from the hotel for high-speed access into the heart of the world-class Val d’Isère-Tignes ski area.

The lower ground floor of the hotel is dedicated to wellness. Here you will find an indoor swimming pool, sauna, hot tub, steam room and treatment rooms with TEMPLESPA products – essential if you’re making the most of the 300km ski area.

• Ski bus stop: 100m. There is a regular ski bus which runs between La Daille and Val d'Isère centre up until 2am

Many come to Val d'Isère and divide their time between skiing, après and shopping. Its legendary nightlife is both abundant and lively with over 60 bars, restaurants and nightclubs to choose from.

The Val d'Isère - Tignes ski area claims to be one of the best ski areas in the world, and we agree. It offers an enormous variety of cruising runs and some far-reaching off-piste too. Head for ‘La Langue du Glacier' on Grande Motte above Tignes. It's wonderfully scenic without being difficult to ski or board.

With two glaciers in the area, you’re guaranteed snow and most of Val d’Isère‘s lifts are long and rapid meaning you spend more time actually skiing rather than queuing.

The spa and wellness area is quite simply the best in the entire Mountain Collection. From the swimming pool with a picture window for a great feeling of space to the huge sauna, steam room and sunken hot tub.

There's no excuse for aching muscles with the extensive selection of professional sports, deep tissue and hot stone massages available to you. Or for a more sublime experience, our trained therapists can help you drift away with an Indian head massage and beauty treatments using TEMPLESPA products.

Our half-board meals are designed for skiers and boarders. Breakfast is a fairly extensive affair with cooked and continental options every day. Your daily afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and biscuits will be waiting for you when you come in from the slopes.

Your seven evening meals consist of three courses with regionally inspired dishes all followed by fresh coffee. You can buy wine and drinks to accompany your meal from the bar.

With an air of sophisticated style, the 29 bedrooms and suites have an uncompromised level of detail, with colours and decoration which beautifully complement each other.

The variety of room choices is extensive to ensure your party is perfectly accommodated. Twins/doubles, premium, family rooms and suites comfortably sleep between 2 and 4 people, while 2 bedroom suites afford the space required by a larger party of up to 6. Some larger suites are split over 2 floors for an added layer of comfort throughout your stay.

All have a balcony with mountain views, full ensuite with shower or shower over bath and wc. A flat-screen TV has satellite channels and there's also free Wi-Fi, a mini-safe and a minibar. Guests in the suites also have use of a Nespresso coffee machine.

All hotel guests are free to explore the ski area throughout the week with our Mountain Expert service. You can join us and ski in the company of a professional instructor, local to Val d'Isère. They will run a series of sessions which includes guided tours of the ski area and coaching sessions, all tailored to the group's ability level.

Designed for confident blue and red-run skiers and snowboarders, they'll show you around the mountain on free guiding sessions, and even offer free coaching sessions to help you become a more confident skier or snowboarder.

There's at least 1 session a day and we guarantee each guest at least 2 sessions a week. Your hosts will explain how it works when you get there.
