Road biking in Italy
Italy is famous for its road biking. Roadies the world over head to Europe’s bootleg to explore the country from the saddle. At our Airone Beachclub in the Gulf of Taranto, you can head out on one of our TREK road bikes - their lightweight frames will keep you pedalling for longer with less effort. Available in a range of sizes, they have all the gears you need to take on Italy’s road challenges. High in the hills you will come across traditional villages including Rossano, one of the areas most celebrated towns. Stop off here to soak up the sights and explore the warren of old streets, keeping an eye out for the town’s hidden delights.
Cycle at your own pace, slow enough to experience each place you pass through, but fast enough to clock up some serious mileage and see as much of Italy as you can. Our bike team also organise guided rides, all the mapping is done for you - just sit back, pedal and take in the scenery along the way.
